A good cultivation is necessary so that tomatoes can also become large and tasty and harvest rich. Learn how to plant your tomatoes here.
We have put together an annual plan for you here, which should help you to plant and care for your tomatoes so that they also become large and tasty and you can harvest richly:
January: Start sowing now, preferably in a warm apartment or in a greenhouse.
February March: The young plants emerge from the earth. You now have to convert particularly strong plants into individual pots.
April: Now the young plants come outside. Give the plants a stick as a climbing aid so that they can climb up and support themselves.
May June: It is best to water the plants directly over the ground. This prevents the formation of mold or pests on the leaves. Don't forget to fertilize and very important: remove the poultry shoots every 2 - 3 days by simply breaking them off.
Geiztriebe grow exactly in the fork between the main drives. As can be seen in my picture:
July to October: You must continue to break out the so-called miser drives, this ensures that the fruits become luscious and larger. From August there is harvest time that extends into October. The plants still bloom, even if they are already bearing fruit.
November December: Now you have to remove the plants and, if they are pest-free, you can put them on the compost. Then it is advisable to incorporate ripe compost into the garden soil. Then new tomato plants will find “fresh” nutrients next year.
